If you are looking to help us document the history or stuff about the Chess Rock Community, but have zero experience on making Wikis, then this is the place for you!

It won't be a comprehensive walkthrough but it'll help you enough where you'll understand the basics of how to make your own page.

== Creating an account ==
To create a page, you don't need an account; but if you don't want to get your IP leaked or want to edit a currently existing page then you will need to create an account.

# In the top right corner of the website, you should see a user icon and the "Anonymous" text. If you don't see the Anonymous text, that means you are logged in and can skip the entirety of this step. Click on it and you'll see options for "Create account" and "Log in".
# When you click "Create account", you should be brought to a section for you to create an account. Please enter your details carefully and correctly, or else you won't be able to recover your account.
# After you click "Create your account", everything should be done!

=== Creating a page ===
To create a page, there are two possible methods.

# On the left, you should see many options in the Navigation section. Click on "Create new page" to create a new page.
# In the search bar, you can simply delete everything until "<nowiki>https://crc.artyom.me/</nowiki>" then your page name.

The first method will automatically put you into edit mode, while the second method needs you to click the "Create" or "Create source" button.

|Visual editing allows you to edit the page and immediately preview how it is going to look; but it doesn't allow you edit things as neatly and tightly as source editing.
|Source editing is much like HTML code, where you write it everything and only preview it later. It allows you to be way more precise and allows for more features visual doesn't include but it is much less intuitive.

For the purposes of this tutorial, we will be using Visual Editing, but if you want to do things more precisely like be able to center text using <code><nowiki><center></center></nowiki></code> and you feel like you are advanced enough, then you can use Source Editing.

== Tool bar ==

On Visual Editing mode, above your writing area should contain a tool bar containing all the tools for you to use and create your page. Some are self-explanatory like the undo and redo buttons, but others can be troubling to understand.

=== Headings ===
On all articles longer than a paragraph, they are split using headings. Each section should be denoted with a heading of their own and any sub-section should be denoted with a sub-heading of their own. Headings are useful because on pages with more than one heading or sub-heading, the page automatically creates a table of contents for people to easily explore the page.

To format text into a Heading, click on the section that says "Paragraph" or "Heading" next to the undo and redo buttons and select "Heading". That should turn the line you are writing on into a Heading of a section. When you press enter, it should automatically return to a Paragraph format.

You can use the Sub-headings without having to use the main Heading format, but it will look significantly uglier.

Refrain from using the page title as it's rarely ever necessary. The title in the page is usually enough.

You can link from one page to another or another website using the links feature, making it easy for those who want to learn more about or explore a particular topic to just go there. To create a link:

# Select a section of text you want to turn into a link
# Press the Link button (denoted by a symbol of two chains linked together)
# Select the page you want to link to (it does not have to be the same as the selected text)

Do note that when you are linking to another page on the Chess Rock Community Wiki, if the page shows up as red, it means the page has not been made yet and the link is basically useless. However, it is still fine to do so because the pages may be made in the future.

=== Uploading an image/file ===
Uploading an image isn't as easy as dragging and clicking an image into the page. We need to add it as a file first before we can properly use it in a page. There are two main methods of uploading an image to the Wiki.

On the left, in the same region as "Create new page", just below it is "Upload file" where it sends you to a page to upload a file.

Just do as instructed, make sure to enable "Watch this file", and your file should be uploaded.

If there are issues uploading the file, it either is server related or your file has something wrong with it.

After that, next to the Bullet Points option is an Insert option for you to insert one from a few selections. Go to "Images and media", and select your image in Recent. Then do as you're told and you should be finished.

Beware that adding a caption and alternative text is super useful, so please add it even if you, yourself, don't find it personally useful.

On the toolbar, next to the Bullet Points option is an Insert option for you to insert one from a few selections. The one we're interested in here is "Images and media". Click on it, and if you haven't uploaded your image yet, go to the Upload tab and then do as you're instructed. Beware that you have to tick "This is my own work" to progress.

After your image is uploaded, you will be given an option to immediately upload it into the page you're in, making it more convenient than the "Special:Upload" method if you are only doing it once.

Beware that adding a caption and alternative text is super useful, so please add it even if you, yourself, don't find it personally useful.

== More options ==
On the tool bar, there is an option with 3 bars that allows you to see more options that we are interested in, specifically categories and redirection.

=== Categories ===
On this Wiki, every page should be categorized based on their type of article, as seen on the main page. Our categories include "Users", "Memes", "History", "Discord", "Miscellaneous" and "Instructions". Categories are nice because they allow for ease of navigation.

When you are done with your page, click the three bars on the tool bar, click on Options or Categories, and then under "Add a category to this page", add a category the page fits in. You can make your own category using this method, but it's preferred you use our six pre-existing categories.

=== Redirect ===

If you have a particular thing that has different names or nicknames to refer to one thing, instead of copy pasting everything for each page, you should redirect it to one main page instead. Which page you choose to be the main page is up to you. Redirects are useful because it allows for people who may not be familiar with the full name or nickname or want to easily access the page using the nickname can all go to the same page without trouble.

If you are going to turn a page into a redirect, it is preferred you leave it blank, because the page will redirect you to another page anyway. You could still write text into it for fun, though.

On the redirect page, click the three bars on the tool bar, click on Page settings (or Options then go to Page Settings), tick "Redirect this page to", then type the page you want to redirect to. If the page you're redirecting does not exist, then that is okay, as long as that page will exist in the future.

== Page formatting ==
In the beginning of each page, for the sake of consistency, it is preferred you start it like this.

The [Title] should always be bold, no matter what, and the (pseudonyms) should be in italic.

'''Simp Town''' was an interactive experience by [[Sted]] in the [[Chess Simp Community]] in March 2025, where you could interact with pre-existing places or spend [[Shares Economy|shares]] to create new things and he would play as Master. Simp Town was one of the biggest parts of the [[Shares Economy]], resuscitating it after the absence of the January-February era, turning Sted one of the richest members of the economy. Many things came from it, such as Sted's own [[Bakel's Mine]] event where the top 5 had chances to win a good item, and it also inspired others to make their own interactive experiences, like [[Silvy Town]] which depended on d20 rolls instead of shares. Unfortunately, Simp Town discontinued after Sted rage left both servers from the constant drama during May and June 2025. Sted also remarked that Simp Town took way too much effort to do.

'''Maturity bracket''' is a tournament [[Emily]] set up in early June 2025 where a set of two [[Main Page|CRC]] [[:Category:Users|members]] are put against each other in a poll and people would vote on who is the most mature out of the two. The tournament never required explicit action from the members in the poll and only required people to vote on the polls. [[NotBaltic]] ended up winning the entire tournament with [[Sted]] in second place.

Due to the unfair nature of the tournament bracket, eventually the maturity bracket was expanded to infinite rounds, allowing strong contenders like [[Sealandball]] and new contenders like [[ManosSef]] to rise in the new chart.

However, since July, Emily has stopped hosting maturity polls, likely to lack of interest.

= Welcome to the '''Chess Rock Community Wiki!''' =
The '''Chess Rock Community''' is a small offspring Discord server of the [[Chess Simp Community]] created by [[Kan]] on April 21st, 2025, with an interest in many topics, but primarily chess and programming. The current owner of the server is [[kk]].

Originally the Chess Nugget Community, it was created after the [[Nugget Incident]], a controversial ban from the owner himself on Nugget that eventually lead to the member base to riot and move to their own server.

This wiki is ran and owned by [[Emily]], a prominent member of the server. Naturally as a small community, the Wikipedia pages won't be completely "formal" nor be extensive, so don't expect too much from us!

The '''Nugget Incident''' refers to the time [[Chess Simp]] temporarily banned [[Nugget]] for "politics" on April 21st, 2025.

[[Nugget]] posted a collection of images paired with the caption "wtf is this flag", with the intention of asking what the flag was since he didn't recognize it. All of the images came from the 9th challenge of the [[Pezut Games]], Pezguessr. [[Chess Simp]], however, had mistaken it as defamation against a particular nation, so on his own volition banned him permanently for politics.

The ban lead to loud outcry in the community base, upset that Chess Simp had unfairly banned someone for something people had broken many times before.

Chess Simp eventually reduced the ban to 1 day but the ban lead [[Kan]] to create the Chess Nugget Community, which would eventually become the [[Main Page|Chess Rock Community]].

[[Kan]] advertising the server eventually lead to his own permanent ban for advertising and the situation snowballed until the server base eventually all permanently migrated to the Chess Rock Community.

As a result, the Chess Simp Community today, despite some tiny efforts, is no longer as active as it was before, as the member base has mostly moved to the Chess Rock Community.

The '''Nugget Incident''' refers to the time [[Chess Simp]] temporarily banned [[Nugget]] for "politics" on April 21st, 2025.

[[Nugget]] posted a collection of images paired with the caption "wtf is this flag", with the intention of asking what the flag was since he didn't recognize it. [[Chess Simp]], however, had mistaken it as defamation against a particular nation, so on his own volition banned him permanently for politics.

The ban lead to loud outcry in the community base, upset that Chess Simp had unfairly banned someone for something people had broken many times before.

Chess Simp eventually reduced the ban to 1 day but the ban lead [[Kan]] to create the Chess Nugget Community, which would eventually become the [[Main Page|Chess Rock Community]].

[[Kan]] advertising the server eventually lead to his own permanent ban for advertising and the situation snowballed until the server base eventually all permanently migrated to the Chess Rock Community.

As a result, the Chess Simp Community today, despite some tiny efforts, is no longer as active as it was before, as the member base has mostly moved to the Chess Rock Community.

It was started by [[Emily]] through an idea she posted in the [[Shitty server suggestions|#shitty-server-suggestions]] channel of CSC. Originally, the economy would be joined by ''"upvoting"'' (emoji reacting with a brilliant) the #shitty-server-suggestions channel.

Unfortunately, the Shares Economy is now entirely defunct after the migration of most of its participants to CRC, although some are still attempting to revive it. It was an incredibly large, social, and interesting project, but certain members of the CSC administration such as [[Chess Simp]] famously dislike it, associating it with controversy.

== Biography ==
Unfortunately, the original video that got her into watching [[Chess Simp]] is now unknown, and her original join date is now lost to history, with the earliest instance of her in the Chess Simp Community found only in early June 2022. She remained a semi-active member of the [[Chess Simp Community]], only getting into a Chess Simp video once in a Q&A.

She eventually became the third cop after recommendation from [[TampliteSK]], but her activity soon after dwindled due to community resistance to change and her preferring the Chess Simp Tournaments (now [[The Chess Refuge]]).

Only in late March 2025 did she finally return to being active with active participation in the [[Shares economy|Shares Economy]] and [[Simp Town]], both activities she dearly enjoyed. It was also when she got to know more of the current member-base of the Chess Rock Community.

Though, soon after in April of the same year, numerous controversial decisions by [[Chess Simp]] lead to the creation of the Chess Nugget Community (what'd become the Chess Rock Community today), where she purposely avoided moderating due to her already moderating two Chess Simp related servers at the time.

She was rarely involved in the drama during the May-June 2025 period of the community, other than the time she left in protest of several people's rape jokes. Otherwise she was a decently active member and started the [[0SMP]] as a promise from April with modest success and little trouble.

She boosted the server on September 12th, 2025, becoming one of the only members to do so, and hosted a few events where she would gift Nitro Basic to winners; the first one being a roulette wheel where [[silvy]] won and the second one being a puzzle where [[sted]] solved it the quickest.

NotBaltic is very well known for having a relationship with [[Sealandball]], another prominent member of the Chess Rock Community and one of the other cops of the Chess Simp Community. Their relationship is commonly referred to as the ship name "Seabalt".

NotBaltic first met Sealandball in the Chess Simp Community in late 2022, where they quickly bonded over their similar interests in countryballs and became "best chess friends" soon after on November 26th. She also came out as transgender to Sealandball the day after, attempting to bond further with him.

They remained close friends, with occasional shipping from members in The Chess Refuge until September 2023 when they finally started considering dating each other and flirting. They only officially started their relationship on November 27th, 2023, a full year after the "best chess friends" interaction.

To this day, their relationship remains; and they are well known to be the only two people in the Chess Rock Community to be in a relationship together.

== Creating an account ==
To create a page, you don't need an account; but if you don't want to get your IP leaked or want to edit a currently existing page then you will need to create an account.

# In the top right corner of the website, you should see a user icon and the "Anonymous" text. If you don't see the Anonymous text, that means you are logged in and can skip the entirety of this step. Click on it and you'll see options for "Create account" and "Log in".
# When you click "Create account", you should be brought to a section for you to create an account. Please enter your details carefully and correctly, or else you won't be able to recover your account.
# After you click "Create your account", everything should be done!

On Visual Editing mode, above your writing area should contain a tool bar containing all the tools for you to use and create your page. Some are self-explanatory like the undo and redo buttons, but others can be troubling to understand.

On all articles longer than a paragraph, they are split using headings. Each section should be denoted with a heading of their own and any sub-section should be denoted with a sub-heading of their own. Headings are useful because on pages with more than one heading or sub-heading, the page automatically creates a table of contents for people to easily explore the page.

To format text into a Heading, click on the section that says "Paragraph" or "Heading" next to the undo and redo buttons and select "Heading". That should turn the line you are writing on into a Heading of a section. When you press enter, it should automatically return to a Paragraph format.

You can use the Sub-headings without having to use the main Heading format, but it will look significantly uglier.

Refrain from using the page title as it's rarely ever necessary. The title in the page is usually enough.

You can link from one page to another or another website using the links feature, making it easy for those who want to learn more about or explore a particular topic to just go there. To create a link:

Do note that when you are linking to another page on the Chess Rock Community Wiki, if the page shows up as red, it means the page has not been made yet and the link is basically useless. However, it is still fine to do so because the pages may be made in the future.

Uploading an image isn't as easy as dragging and clicking an image into the page. We need to add it as a file first before we can properly use it in a page. There are two main methods of uploading an image to the Wiki.

Just do as instructed, make sure to enable "Watch this file", and your file should be uploaded.

If there are issues uploading the file, it either is server related or your file has something wrong with it.

After that, next to the Bullet Points option is an Insert option for you to insert one from a few selections. Go to "Images and media", and select your image in Recent. Then do as you're told and you should be finished.

Beware that adding a caption and alternative text is super useful, so please add it even if you, yourself, don't find it personally useful.

On the toolbar, next to the Bullet Points option is an Insert option for you to insert one from a few selections. The one we're interested in here is "Images and media". Click on it, and if you haven't uploaded your image yet, go to the Upload tab and then do as you're instructed. Beware that you have to tick "This is my own work" to progress.

After your image is uploaded, you will be given an option to immediately upload it into the page you're in, making it more convenient than the "Special:Upload" method if you are only doing it once.

Beware that adding a caption and alternative text is super useful, so please add it even if you, yourself, don't find it personally useful.

On the tool bar, there is an option with 3 bars that allows you to see more options that we are interested in, specifically categories and redirection.

On this Wiki, every page should be categorized based on their type of article, as seen on the main page. Our categories include "Users", "Memes", "History", "Discord", "Miscellaneous" and "Instructions". Categories are nice because they allow for ease of navigation.

When you are done with your page, click the three bars on the tool bar, click on Options or Categories, and then under "Add a category to this page", add a category the page fits in. You can make your own category using this method, but it's preferred you use our six pre-existing categories.

If you have a particular thing that has different names or nicknames to refer to one thing, instead of copy pasting everything for each page, you should redirect it to one main page instead. Which page you choose to be the main page is up to you. Redirects are useful because it allows for people who may not be familiar with the full name or nickname or want to easily access the page using the nickname can all go to the same page without trouble.

If you are going to turn a page into a redirect, it is preferred you leave it blank, because the page will redirect you to another page anyway. You could still write text into it for fun, though.

The '''Chess Rock Community''' is a small offspring Discord server of the [[Chess Simp Community]] created by [[Kan]] on April 21st, 2025, with an interest in many topics, but primarily chess and programming. The current owner of the server is [[kk]].

Originally the Chess Nugget Community, it was created after a controversial ban from the owner himself on Nugget that eventually lead to the member base to riot and move to their own server.

This wiki is ran and owned by [[Emily]], a prominent member of the server. Naturally as a small community, the Wikipedia pages won't be completely "formal" nor be extensive, so don't expect too much from us!

It won't be a comprehensive walkthrough but it'll help you enough where you'll understand the basics of how to make your own page.

== Creating an account ==
To create a page, you don't need an account; but if you don't want to get your IP leaked or want to edit a currently existing page then you will need to create an account.

# In the top right corner of the website, you should see a user icon and the "Anonymous" text. If you don't see the Anonymous text, that means you are logged in and can skip the entirety of this step. Click on it and you'll see options for "Create account" and "Log in".
# When you click "Create account", you should be brought to a section for you to create an account. Please enter your details carefully and correctly, or else you won't be able to recover your account.
# After you click "Create your account", everything should be done!

To create a page, there are two possible methods.

# On the left, you should see many options in the Navigation section. Click on "Create new page" to create a new page.

On Visual Editing mode, above your writing area should contain a tool bar containing all the tools for you to use and create your page. Some are self-explanatory like the undo and redo buttons, but others can be troubling to understand.

=== Headings ===
On all articles longer than a paragraph, they are split using headings. Each section should be denoted with a heading of their own and any sub-section should be denoted with a sub-heading of their own. Headings are useful because on pages with more than one heading or sub-heading, the page automatically creates a table of contents for people to easily explore the page.

To format text into a Heading, click on the section that says "Paragraph" or "Heading" next to the undo and redo buttons and select "Heading". That should turn the line you are writing on into a Heading of a section. When you press enter, it should automatically return to a Paragraph format.

You can use the Sub-headings without having to use the main Heading format, but it will look significantly uglier.

Refrain from using the page title as it's rarely ever necessary. The title in the page is usually enough.

You can link from one page to another or another website using the links feature, making it easy for those who want to learn more about or explore a particular topic to just go there. To create a link:

# Select a section of text you want to turn into a link
# Press the Link button (denoted by a symbol of two chains linked together)
# Select the page you want to link to (it does not have to be the same as the selected text)

Do note that when you are linking to another page on the Chess Rock Community Wiki, if the page shows up as red, it means the page has not been made yet and the link is basically useless. However, it is still fine to do so because the pages may be made in the future.

=== Uploading an image/file ===
Uploading an image isn't as easy as dragging and clicking an image into the page. We need to add it as a file first before we can properly use it in a page. There are two main methods of uploading an image to the Wiki.

On the left, in the same region as "Create new page", just below it is "Upload file" where it sends you to a page to upload a file.

Just do as instructed, make sure to enable "Watch this file", and your file should be uploaded.

If there are issues uploading the file, it either is server related or your file has something wrong with it.

After that, next to the Bullet Points option is an Insert option for you to insert one from a few selections. Go to "Images and media", and select your image in Recent. Then do as you're told and you should be finished.

Beware that adding a caption and alternative text is super useful, so please add it even if you, yourself, don't find it personally useful.

On the toolbar, next to the Bullet Points option is an Insert option for you to insert one from a few selections. The one we're interested in here is "Images and media". Click on it, and if you haven't uploaded your image yet, go to the Upload tab and then do as you're instructed. Beware that you have to tick "This is my own work" to progress.

After your image is uploaded, you will be given an option to immediately upload it into the page you're in, making it more convenient than the "Special:Upload" method if you are only doing it once.

Beware that adding a caption and alternative text is super useful, so please add it even if you, yourself, don't find it personally useful.

On the tool bar, there is an option with 3 bars that allows you to see more options that we are interested in, specifically categories and redirection.

On this Wiki, every page should be categorized based on their type of article, as seen on the main page. Our categories include "Users", "Memes", "History", "Discord", "Miscellaneous" and "Instructions". Categories are nice because they allow for ease of navigation.

When you are done with your page, click the three bars on the tool bar, click on Options or Categories, and then under "Add a category to this page", add a category the page fits in. You can make your own category using this method, but it's preferred you use our six pre-existing categories.

If you have a particular thing that has different names or nicknames to refer to one thing, instead of copy pasting everything for each page, you should redirect it to one main page instead. Which page you choose to be the main page is up to you. Redirects are useful because it allows for people who may not be familiar with the full name or nickname or want to easily access the page using the nickname can all go to the same page without trouble.

If you are going to turn a page into a redirect, it is preferred you leave it blank, because the page will redirect you to another page anyway. You could still write text into it for fun, though.
